Seeds are collected to order and  harvested December-May each year, to ensure supply it is essential to order by December.

Jarramali Native seeds hand select and collect seeds from the various seasonal species throughout Kuku-Yalanji Country. Due to the rapid lifecycle of flowering and setting seeds, many varieties of seeds may only be available for a window of as little as 1 week per annum.

Jarramali Native Seeds direct field staff and collectors to;

• Identify grass species and their stage of reproduction
• Locate areas where sufficient grass seed can be sourced
• Educate our collectors on efficient seed collection techniques
• Educate collectors to identify and avoid pest grass species and other contaminants to ensure a high quality product
• Jarramali Native Grass seed is dried and stored in ideal environmental conditions
